What is critical thinking?
Critical
or analytical thinking is not just thinking passively and accepting everything
you see and hear. It involves thinking actively, asking questions
about what you see and hear, evaluating, categorising, and finding
relationships.
Critical
thinking involves:
- evaluating the reliability of sources of information.
- distinguishing between relevant and irrelevant information.
- comparing and contrasting ideas, concepts and theories.
- making connections between ideas and concepts in different disciplines.
